Recollections on every decade I’ve been alive.

The 60s is here.
The 70s is here.
The 80s is here.
The 90s is here.
The Aughts is here.
The 2010s is here.

The Covid years. Anybody who was already on the verge of madness finally fell into the pool. New York City was running out of places to put the bodies, but high school kids were forced to stand behind plexi-glass at the grocery store for minimum wage. At no time in our nation’s history was fragile masculinity so….well….fragile. Mouth-breathers ripped off their masks in solidarity with their hero in the White House, who insisted on calling something that nearly killed him a “hoax”, even in the midst of suggesting that it might be cured by injecting bleach.

The national discourse was so dumbed down that “The Tiger King” became a cultural milestone. A very prestigious and expensive Pennsylvania college held an online zoom event for (virtually) incoming freshman that featured Joe Exotic’s gay lover John "Gator" Finlay, the one who didn’t have any teeth. I’m not sure what to say about this so maybe you should just go back and read the sentence again. (he was paid a 5 figure fee, by the way)
