"Turn off your mind / Relax and float down stream.."

I went to see the movie "Cocaine Bear" this weekend because I, like many Americans, saw the trailer during the Super Bowl and immediately texted EVERYBODY I knew and said "when are we going?"

I remember vaguely looking forward to The Revenant back in 2015, another movie with a trailer that featured a perpetually pissed off bear, but that was mostly because Leonardo DiCaprio was in it. I don't recall reaching out to my entire circle of friends to coordinate a viewing. Adding the cocaine to the mix made things viscerally different. It tapped into that mindless portion of…well….the mind….where Americans LOVE to dwell.
