Scenes out of Los Angeles are dystopian. People are literally running for their lives. It’s now the most destructive fire in the history of the city, and as of this writing it is nowhere near contained. Five have died, and that number will surely rise. It’s a helpless feeling watching through the lens of a web browser or a cell phone from 3000 miles away. You get a sense of how big this nation is, and how truly isolated we are from each other. Offering “prayers” at this point is a bit like installing a Ring camera after all the packages have been stolen off your front porch.
