This is another entry in my ongoing “songs that visited me and decided they wanted to stay” series. I hope you like these enough to become a paid subscriber, because I really need you to keep this series going.

Inside Out - Phil Collins

Now everybody keeps on telling me how to be
And everybody tells me do what they say
Oh I'll help myself it's up to me and no-one else
But till I'm ready just keep out of my way

What can I say? I call ‘em like I see ‘em. Phil Collins may have been the most annoying man in the world during the 80s, jutting back and forth on the Live Aid Condorde and churning out radio friendly sugar like somebody working a cotton-candy machine. But the Philster was occasionally creating GREAT radio friendly sugar, and you liked him too even though it wasn’t cool to admit it.
