It's Monday. It's August. This summer has been relentless. I'm desperate for the fall. I want the heat and storms gone, replaced by the explosion of color and the sounds of football. I look forward to September more than I look forward to Christmas. Only when September rolls around do I feel like I've survived to fight another day. As you get older summer is an endurance test, broken up by a few days at a wildly expensive beach, and the MLB All Star game.
