More mass shootings than days....

Yesterday, as yet another allotment of severe storms started rolling in and my phone was beeping with "get in the basement you're gonna die" alerts, I got a text from a friend. There was an active shooter at the Pittston Wal-Mart. Shots fired. At least one person down. Roads blocked off. Helicopters in the air. Cops everywhere. Chaos. Shooter escaped on foot. All of this during rush hour.....which doubled the frenzy. As soon as you start to think it can't happen here, it happens here. My friend reminds me that he's in that shopping plaza almost daily. He can walk there from his house. His kids are always there as well. And now....a push-pin has been jammed into a map on a wall somewhere. Marking it as another place In America where you need to grow eyes in the back of your fucking head.
