Winter delivered a 1-2 combination this weekend, with ridiculous cold giving way to a howling storm last night. At times it was difficult to see more than a few feet in front of you.....and to tell if it was really snowing as hard as it looked, or simply blowing itself around in an attempt to look more badass. It was the kind of storm you could hear.....pounding against the windows and walls trying to get in. It was the kind of storm that made you grateful for shelter. And fearful for those who don't have it. A pleasant diversion for some....sitting in front of a fire as they look out the front windows. For others, a terrifying night of unknowns. Which shelters are open? Which ones have room? When will the winds finally die down?
