This from July 19, 2016. When the date comes around, everything comes flooding back. So I want to share what George Wesley meant to me. Again. On this platform. Because I’ve got some new friends here.

Included are 3 different pieces. The first was written on the day he died.

The second, “My George Speech”, was what I wrote and delivered the night George was posthumously given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Steamtown Music Awards.

The final piece, “Bringing the Healing”, was written a month before George passed. He was still fighting. His friends were gathering for a large benefit. To us it was inconceivable that he wouldn’t somehow beat this thing. We could not imagine a world without him. Or didn’t want to.

Jah Bless.
