President Biden pardoned his son. Hunter Biden was facing federal gun and tax charges, although his biggest fear was surely a frothing at the mouth incoming President and his merry band of criminals trampling over their own charges and convictions to get at a Biden. The MAGA outrage was instantaneous and boringly predictable. And wildly hypocritical of course. The law and order crowd lost a bit of the moral high ground when they elected as their leader a 34 time convicted felon who also dabbled in sexual assault on the weekends. In a normal world, Trump and most of his cabinet nominees would not be allowed within 100 yards of a school.

As a convicted felon, Trump will have to apply for special permission to enter 37 different countries, which includes China, Canada, Ireland, Japan, India, Mexico, and the United Kingdom. (But her EMAILS!!!)

All of this would be a rather large deal if there were still actual rules and consequences. Which there clearly is not. That does not stop Democratic pundits from demanding that they be adhered to, however. The little scamps.

(There’s not many father’s out there who would not do the same thing regardless of the consequences, except for Trump himself, who seems to loathe his 2 eldest sons, and also seems to have forgotten the name of the daughter who isn’t Ivanka. Take this however you wish to take it. I’m merely pointing it out as a public service. Also that Elon Musk’s daughter hates her father’s guts….)

Biden said he wasn’t going to do it but he did it anyway. That used to be called “lying”, and used to be politically calamitous prior to 2016. But lying is perfectly acceptable now, so everybody is just gonna have to clutch their pearls a little tighter and get over it.

America was founded on the principle that no man was above the law, but that’s clearly no longer the case. The Supreme Court has ruled that the President of the United States can do whatever the fuck he wants with zero consequences, which is the sort of thing that Nixon argued all along but nobody was taking him seriously because he was always drunk. Trump and his gang of thugs are lucky Biden isn’t rounding them up and tossing them into gulags. Who could stop him? Nobody. Biden is a decent and honorable man, and you can see him straining to treat the office as respectfully as it deserves, while at the same time knowing that’s he’s about to hand it over to a fascist who will come in and take a large shit on the Oval Office carpet.

Various left leaning media outlets are BIG MAD at Biden for saving his son, and suggesting that the act somehow gives Trump a green light to reciprocate, as if he wasn’t going to free all the January 6th crowd and destroy the FBI and Department of Justice already. And….you know…..as if he didn’t already pardon his son-in-law’s Father and make him ambassador to France. The naivete of these editorials is almost child-like, as if they were written by Clarence the Angel from “It’s a Wonderful Life”, and if you want to look into the soul of why the Democrats keep getting steamrolled by a guy who speaks at a 4th grade level and has a copy of Mein Kampf on his nightstand, you really should read them.

These pundits are still living in the world where Howard Dean was politically cancelled for “the Dean scream”, an event that actually has its own wikipedia page. That moment proved to be even more of a media sensation than Obama’s brown suit a decade later (which also has its own wikipedia page). In other words, the Atlantic and CNN folks bemoaning the lack of high ground never quite got over the sight of Mike Dukakis riding in that tank, and have been in therapy ever since. Donald Trump broke their brains. The “high ground” is now in a fucking trench with Kash Patel and the Secretary of Defense guy who now has to explain why his own mother thinks he’s “an abuser of women”. HIS OWN MOM THINKS HE’S A PIECE OF SHIT. No wonder there’s been no background checks.

Whatever. These guys have the House, the Senate, the White House, AND the Supreme Court, and they are STILL victims. I’m not sure how this is possible.

The next 4 years are going to be EPIC, especially when oranges cost $7 each and Musk starts a GoFundMe to replenish the social security that was gutted while you were distracted by the Reichstag fire of the department of education. As always, enjoy your eggs, Cletus.

If I may…..speaking of “we don’t need no (stinkin’ department of) education”…….21% of adults in the US are illiterate, and 54% have a literacy level below 6th grade. Half of the adult population cannot read a book written at an 8th grade level. What I remember most about 8th grade is the kid who used to pick his own boogers in the winter and then leave them on the sizzling radiator so that when he ate them they were crunchy. Books written at that guy have too much intellect for half of the people you’ll come across today.

Let that sink in before you start arguing with people inside Facebook comment threads.

And while you’re at it Mr. President, please pardon Leonard Peltier as well.
