It’s Barbie and Oppenheimer time. I plan to see them both eventually, perhaps even back-to-back, but for now I’m very much enjoying right wingers losing their minds over a movie about a doll. Pretty sure they are OK with Oppenheimer because it’s got bombs in it. Plus there’s all that red-baiting, which gives them a chubby.

But Barbie? Not so much. One right wing commentator suggested that Barbie’s “toxic feminism” has been responsible for more deaths than Oppenheimer’s atomic bombs, and when I heard this I knew exactly how Tom Lehrer felt when Henry Kissinger was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
